Cutting bangs at home might sound like a genius idea at first, but it WILL end terribly if you do it on a whim. Take a second to think things over before snipping any hair off. Do you really want bangs or are you just bored? If it’s the former and you can’t get to the salon for any reason, check out the tutorial below.
Examine your face shape in the mirror to determine what style suits you..
Hair shears have narrower and sharper blades than regular scissors..
Wet hair is easier to cut, but keep in mind that cuticles swell and stretch in this state, making strands a bit longer than when they are dry..
Make a bigger triangle if you want fuller and thicker bangs..
Remember, you can always trim more hair, but you can’t put it back once it’s been cut..
Always check your hair in the mirror after every snip..
Use a Velcro roller to create more volume at the roots of your bangs..
